How to use a color palette
A palette of four or five colors usually covers a whole design: a light background, a dark text color, a main brand color and one or two accents. Give the colors roles before you start, and use them unevenly; the common 60-30-10 split (main, secondary, accent) keeps a design calm while the accent draws the eye to what matters.
Every palette here shows its best text pair, the two colors with the highest contrast, and whether that pair passes WCAG. If no pair reaches 4.5:1, use the palette for backgrounds and illustration and add a darker text color. To adapt a palette, open it in the palette generator, lock the colors you want to keep and regenerate the rest, then check text pairs in the contrast checker.
